Arthur A. Teixeira is a professor of biological agriculture and of food engineering and human nutrition at the University of Florida, where he teaches courses related to the properties of food and unit operations of bioprocess engineering.

His research interests include food engineering and preservation of sterilization systems, processing and mathematical modeling to numerical simulation, and even optimization and control of operations of heat treatment of foods.

Arthur A. Teixeira completed his higher education at the University of Massachusetts in 1971 with a Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and PhD in Food Engineering and Agriculture.

After 11 years of industrial experience with Ross Laboratories, Division of Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH and Arthur D. Little, in Cambridge, MA, joined the University of Florida, as Associate Professor of Food Engineering in 1982 and advanced to Full Professor with tenure in 1989.

Arthur Teixeira has been invited to lecture around the world. Standing out are his public interventions in England, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Israel, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Columbia, Honduras, Cuba, China, Indonesia, Australia, Kenya and South Africa.
